Please meet at GCC NO LATER then 8:30 am.
Schedule:
8:30 am - Depart from GCC
11:00 am - Arrive at Zoo, check in
11:30 - 12:30 pm - 2 scheduled classes* (Please sign up if you would like to participate)
For Ages 3 - 11:
Animal Adaptations for Land and Water – Some animals are built for life on land some are built for life in the water. Discover animals’ amazing adaptations for both.
For Ages 12 - up:
Anatomy and Function – What’s the use of a giraffe neck, jaguar spots or an alligator’s snout? This program explores the various physical structures of animals and how they relate to body functions.
NOTE: We tried to schedule a separate preschool program, but they only had 2 teachers scheduled for that day.
12:30 - 1:15 pm - Lunch (Bring a bag lunch)
1:30 pm - Scavenger Hunt (Please sign up if you would like to participate)
2:30 pm - Enjoy the rest of the zoo!
5:00 pm - Zoo closes. Eat dinner and head home! (Please sign up if you would like to join us - we will try and call some local restaurant to see if we can get some good deals!)

2 and under: FREE
Ages 3 - 12: Admission is $7.50
Ages 13 - up: Admission is $10.50
Parking is FREE
*If you sign up for one of the classes, please add on an additional $2.50 per student.

THX Field Trip Policies
“Pay up and Sign up”
THX field trips are open to both members and non-members who abide by the following policies:
-Sign up will be on Mondays by the stated deadline.
-When a family signs up THEY MUST pay the required amount. A family is NOT considered signed up until payment is made.
-Please put the exact amount in a smaller envelope. On the outside of the envelope, print your last and first name, the amount that is enclosed and your phone number along with the area code. Put the envelope in the larger envelope designated for that field trip.
-On the sign up sheet, sign your name along with the number of children you will be responsible for in the appropriate box. Include the amount you paid along with your phone number.
-If a student (12 years old and up) would like to go, but their parent is unable to drive them, their will be an extra fee added to help cover gas. The amount will be determined according to the distance of the trip.
-If a student who is 11 years and under desires to go and the parent cannot drive, it is the parent’s responsibility to find another parent who would be responsible for that child. The arrangements would be made prior to the trip and the child would sign up with that family.
-In case of a no show, there will be NO refunds unless THX is refunded by the facility we are visiting.
-You must be ON TIME for the scheduled departure.
-We are not just representing homeschoolers, but we are representatives of Christ.
-ALWAYS bring your Homeschool Association I.D.
